David and I were delighted to be awarded the much coveted AA egg cup in recognition of our delicious breakfasts. At the Spinney we bake our own bread make our own marmalade and jams. We create our own cold dishes of fruit compotes, muesli, granola’s. We also use local produce where possible, including delicious meaty pork sausages hand made locally on Besshill farm, fresh free range eggs from Farmer Bob in Bishops Tawnton and West Country organic yogurt from just over the border in Somerset. Baking is a passion and I enjoy discovering new recipes, cakes, tea loaves,scones and muffins all feature at The Spinney. Come and stay at The Spinney and enjoy our award winning breakfast.
The start of the new season has been a very exciting time for us at the Spinney following the receipt of a letter announcing that we had been nominated for the friendliest B and B award from the AA. We have been invited to participate in a luncheon and award ceremony at The Landmark Hotel in London and due to the kindness of family and neighbours we will be able to attend. So with our heads full of a trip to London the last thing David and I were expecting was an AA inspection and unbeknown to us this was to evaluate our breakfast and so we were once again thrilled to be receive an award this time the much coveted AA Egg Cup award for outstanding breakfasts. So with a nomination for Friendliest B and B, a breakfast award and for the fifth year running retaining our 4star Gold we are truly delighted to receive this recognition for all our hard work and for something we so enjoy.
